Vicki and I have always lived on a coast – either in California or Connecticut. And while we love traveling, we couldn’t imagine living away from the water. Even if our couples are originally from here and moved to a landlocked state, they generally come home to have their wedding. Why? We think the answer is: “who doesn’t love a beach wedding?” And although one of our absolute favorite wedding venues, the Eolia Mansion at Harkness Park doesn’t count as a “beach wedding” location per se, it does have a beautiful stretch of sand on the sound. And when you include it with the mansion (with it’s timeless architecture and elegant grounds), it really is no wonder why it’s such a popular spot for weddings (and for our engagement sessions).
Ashley and Dan chose to have their wedding there, and I had the best time with them! Their beach wedding photos are some of my favorites from the day. I also had my good friend Lisa on hand overseeing the events (even officiating, how cool is that?) making sure everything was flawlessly executed, and Flowers by Danielle provided all the amazing flowers. However, my favorite thing about the day was how great Ashley and Dan looked (makeup by Erin Infantino, gorgeous as always!) and how much fun they had together. There wasn’t a moment where they weren’t laughing or smiling, or just absolutely enjoying each other. It was a true pleasure to be around, and a great reminder on why I love my job.
So there you have it. Super fun couple, gorgeous “beach wedding” venue, some of our favorite peers in the business, and some killer “golden hour” light. It doesn’t get much better than this!
