When we met with Ilissa + Greg for the first time, Vicki and I were left feeling pretty emotional.  They love each other so much, they were willing to jump through just about any hoop life could throw at them to be together.  They are also just about the coolest, funniest people you could have the pleasure of knowing, and we immediately felt like we had all known each other for a long time. And when we met with Ilissa’s parents & sister to finalize everything, we couldn’t have been happier to see their wedding album (we loved that they brought it with them to share!).  In this digital age, most people are more than happy to have their photos stored on a drive somewhere, to be pulled up on their anniversary to view on an electronic monitor. Yet there was something so special about holding their wedding album in our hands, and turning the pages to see one beautiful photo after the next (and their photographer did a truly great job capturing their day).  When Vicki and I visit my family in Northern California, we love looking through my parent’s wedding album.  The look and the smell of the pages, the crackling of the spine when they are turned, and the way the leather is worn in places from the touch of our hands will never be replicated on an out of date Ipad.

And we went into Ilissa & Greg’s wedding day knowing that one day their children and grandchildren would look at their photos, and smile when they saw all of the beautiful moments from their day.  And what a day it was!  Ilissa, as gorgeous as ever in her Jim Hjelm wedding  gown, was complimented perfectly by Greg in his black suit and bow-tie (we love bow-ties!), and together they looked like they just stepped out of a vintage Hollywood movie.  Their Ketubah was one of the of  the most beautiful we  have ever seen, and was only matched by an artist they brought in to paint a picture of  their wedding as it was happening.  How cool is that?  An awesome day to be sure, and we feel honored for having been there to see it all.
