We never know what will come from our our work with our couples beside all of the wonderful memories of the important moments we capture for them. Sometimes it can lead to a great bowl of Pho like it did at one of Mehreen and Jon’s favorite restaurants in their home town. We happened to be nearby for an engagement session, and they steered us in the right direction to one of the very best Vietnamese meals we have ever had. And not only did they introduce us to amazing food, they brought us into their family home for their Pakistani ceremony with friends and family followed by a joyous reception nearby. But that wasn’t all! Two days after, we got to be with them again, this time for their Western ceremony and recepetion at the Waterview.
Mehreen looked absolutely gorgeous in her gowns both days, accompanied by beautiful and intricate Henna body art, while Jon looked handsome whether he was in traditional Pakistani garb or a sharp suit. As we have mentioned before, one of our favorite things about our jobs is experiencing the many different cultures and traditions that our couples are part of. And both nights we were treated to wonderful customs that have been passed down for generations so that they are as powerful today as they have been for thousands of years. And through them all, we got to see Mehreen and Jon, smiling, crying and laughing with their guests as they proclaimed their love and commitment to each other. It was an incredible weekend, and we couldn’t have been happier to have shared it with two super sweet and awesome people.
