Planning for a wedding can be a lot of work. We know that the sheer amount of little details to keep track of can be overwhelming. Thankfully, there are plenty of resources out there to help with making sure that everything is all present and accounted for on your wedding day. We love all of the information available at The Knot for our brides. And when everything is said and done, we are there to help coordinate the day of timing and make sure that everything stays on track. While we aren’t wedding planners, we do this so that our couples can relax and be present for their wedding day. In fact, we send them a document to help plan out their day based on our years of experience photographing weddings. When our couples can focus on the moment, and experience their day without stress, magic happens.
Meghan and Joe were married at St. John Church in Darien, CT with their reception at one of our absolute favorite venues, the Inn at Longshore in Westport, CT. And what struck us most about their wedding beside their fabulous details and how perfect they are together, was the incredible amount of emotion throughout their day. There was so much love, joy and happiness that it was almost overwhelming at times. We know that emotional wedding photos are the best wedding photos, and Meghan and Joe’s wedding had them in spades.
The other thing Meghan and Joe had an abundance of on their wedding day? Cold weather! With the windchill in February it got close to -15 degrees, which made taking photos outside not much of an option. Luckily, the fabulous people at Nielsen’s Florist in Darien were kind enough to let us take portraits of Meghan and Joe and their bridal party in their greenhouse. They even went so far as to move plants around to make sure the backgrounds were perfect. How cool is that? And the bride and groom were even willing to head outside at the Inn at Longshore for a beautiful sunset that left us all with frozen ears. We think you’ll agree that everything came together perfectly for some truly awesome moments. Thanks Meghan and Joe – you are both amazing, and we had a great time on your big day!
